Heritage wallpaper Les Hortensias 1895 meticulously restored by Le Presse Papier, a Living Heritage Company, and installed by Fouassier in 1791 French country manor house in the Normandy region of France.

Using traditional conservation techniques Fouassier mounted the wallpaper onto a fabric liner, which protects the paper and conserves it for future generations.

The full and generous hydrangea blooms in shades of sky blue interspersed with leaves that add late summer warmth climb the walls above the painted panelled wainscoting.

To complete the room Fouassier painted the wood panelling in colours picked from the wallpaper creating a cosy and welcoming space.
